how to reach the accommodation
Cagliari Elmas airport is just 7 km from the centre of Cagliari. You can reach the city centre by train or taxi.
From the new ‘Elmas Aeroporto’ station, which is located in Piazza Matteotti, it is possible to reach the city centre in about 6 minutes with a ticket costing 1.30 euro (one way), which can be purchased from the Ferrovie dello Stato automatic ticket machines (in the Arrivals hall of the airport terminal and at the station), all ticket offices and authorised sales outlets, as well as on Trenitalia’s website. The average frequency of connections is approximately 1 train every 20 minutes from shortly after 5 am to shortly after 9 pm.
Taxis can be found immediately at the arrivals gate.
The train arrives at Piazza Matteotti station in Cagliari. In the same square take bus number 8 and get off at Via Porcell (corner of Via dei Genovesi). A 5-minute walk will take you to your destination.
The most convenient and fastest way to reach the airport from the city and the hinterland (and vice versa) is by taxi. A daytime ride to the city centre has a minimum fare of EUR 17.
